About Giampiero Malgioglio
Giampiero Malgioglio was born in Rome in 1967 and started his career young attending the studies of important Roman artists including Francesco Corica, Titina Maselli, Franco Veronesi and Piero Dorazio. This encouraged him to participate in several collective exhibitions and become increasingly involved in painting. He devotes much time and attention to the study of the artistic paths of 20th century personalities: Attardi, Dorazio, Afro, Burri, Pollock, Santomaso and Vedova. The works of artists such as Emilio Vedova profoundly influenced him until he abandoned the figurative trait in the late 90's. Thus began a fase of experimentation and research focused on the material masses and the harmony of color.
Living between Rome and Terni, Giampiero's second passion is football, in Italy called calcio! AS Roma is his big love in football and Giampiero became good friends with Roma Icon Francesco Totti. For his friend he mastarted to make unique personalized artworks in which he used match worn shirts of his alltime legend! Totti's blood, sweat and tears from heroic matches with AS Roma and the Azurri (National Team) were turned into exclusive and luxurious artworks, each telling its own personal, emotional and passionate football story.
